Post written on “The secret life of daydream” from Dario Marianelli.
I’ve been asked so many times to talk about my creative process and inspiration behind the brand but essentially behind each bag. I realized I had never really shared the story on the blog, so this week, I decided to reveal the story behind Le Quai de Seine clutch.
I was strolling on the Quai de seine in Paris on a Sunday afternoon and sat for a moment by the water. I was day dreaming really and looking up at the sky. That day I had my camera and shot a string of light that was hanging from a boat on the Quai de Seine. It looked like it was floating in the sky. I love these string of lights that gives such a beautiful atmosphere.
Since a young age I was always very much fascinated by the sky and the clouds. Looking up is a habit of mine and with instagram it even became one of my hashtag #alwayslookup. I guess it had to be part of a creation process.
When I started working on the Somewhere clutches for Jenni Jane, I selected this picture right away as it was such a beautiful, romantic and peaceful memory. Couple of months later it became a bag, Le Quai de Seine, one of my brand best seller.
Discover below Le Quai de Seine clutch mood board & color palette that was part of my creative process:
Some of my hangouts close to the Quai de Seine (in the 1st district):
Tapas & wine at Da Rosa, a tour of the Louvre Museum, to be suspended in time and a sneak peek at Colette to get inspired and dive into design and creativity.
As usual please comment and share we love to hear from you!
